Environmental Objectives
De-carbonization of the transport sector by utilisation of BioMates as a reliable and renewable refinery co-feed and validating of up to 30% bio-content hybrid fuels production.
Environmental advantages relative to fossil fuels by achieving a quantifiable reduction of GHG emissions via a) fuels decarbonization, b) using conversion capacity excess in existing petroleum refineries and c) establishing synergies within the refinery complex.
Environmental advantages relative to conventional biofuels by utilising lignocellulosic biomass, integrating energy efficient technologies, utilizing renewable energy carriers and exploiting all side-and by-products.
Low ILUC impact by utilisation of agricultural residues (straw) and non-food biomass (miscanthus) as the raw material, which have minimum energy requirements and low ILUC risk.
